System Configuration
For most Data Physics products, including the network-connected SignalCalc Mobilyzer DSA and SignalStar Vector vibration controller, we recommend a Pentium based PC with at least 32 MB RAM and at least a 800 x 600 display. For the high end multi-axis SignalStar Matrix controllers, when they are configured with hundreds of channels, we recommend a high-end workstation PC, such as a fast dual-Pentium with 256 MB RAM. Does DP offer packages that include the computer? Certainly, we can supply the entire system if you like. Call or email the Data Physics sales department for more information regarding complete systems. Can I upgrade the DP DOS system I currently own to Windows 95/NT? Yes, any DP DOS system can be upgraded to Windows 95, 98, 2000/NT, usually without replacing the existing hardware. For further information, contact Data Physics. Can I upgrade my Concurrent Vibrations Unix system? Yes, a Concurrent Vibrations Unix vibration control system can be upgraded to Windows 2000/NT. For further information, contact Data Physics. If I don't purchase a particular option at the time I purchase my DP system, can I add it later? Yes, both software and hardware are modular and are available as add-ons that can be quickly installed at any time. How can I format information created in my DP system? Data generated by DP systems can be exported (and imported) in a variety of ASCII formats to support Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications. ActiveX technology is also supported for Windows Applications. See product specification sheets for more information. Is there a shareware or demo version of DP software available?
