Manage, develop, and implement product development activities to maximize sales of the assigned product line.
Responsibilities:
1. Product Definition and Development
• Formulate product strategy with executive management and engineering, providing marketing information, customer requirements, and competitive information.
• Conduct customer and market analysis to provide input into the product planning process. Coordinate the market research process with other team members including sales and product engineering.
• Coordinate product design with the engineering team.
• Develop and maintain product documentation in conjunction with Technical Writer.
• Contribute to pricing and promotional strategy to achieve sales objectives.
• Work with other product line managers to create a sustainable competitive advantage.
2. Competitive Positioning
• Be a champion in evangelizing and positioning the assigned product line within competition.
• Conduct market, product, and technology-oriented competitive analysis. Understand direct and indirect competition.
• Produce customer-oriented segmentation and positioning.
• Clearly articulate various differentiators and help emphasize these in the market place.
3. Market Knowledge and Development
• Serve as a business line expert on global markets including identifying current and future market needs.
• Be responsible for identifying and determining unmet/innovative market opportunities, creating or penetrating current markets, mature geographic markets, and emerging geographic markets.
• Help define and drive various activities/tactics to increase current product sales/demand generation.
• Develop sales collateral (e.g., brochures, press-releases, news articles in industry magazines, white papers) and tools, road shows, partner development and marketing programs.
4. Promotion & Support
• Understand the needs of the sales force, customers, and sales channels. Translate these needs/wants into a prioritized list of marketing requirements.
• Supervise Application Engineers and Customer Support Engineers.
• Train and enable Applications Engineers and Sales/Business Managers to use and promote the product line.
• Assist with customer presentations as needed.
• Represent Data Physics at tradeshows, customer events, and customer visits.
• Work closely with the engineering team, business development, support/training, and operations departments.
Requirements:
• The candidate should have an MBA with a Mechanical Engineering background with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Be creative, customer oriented with good communication and presentation skills, and experienced in the shaker industry.
• Possess a strong technical background, the capability to develop a deep understanding of the product, and the ability to apply products to different customer situations.
• Make dynamic sales presentations and generate enthusiasm in a group of people.

Responsibilities:
As a Regional Sales Engineer you are responsible for sales and customer satisfaction of the full range of Data Physics Products in the assigned region. Your role includes identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, learning the customer’s business, creating leads through cold calling, networking etc. and demonstrating products as required.
You will manage customer contact information and activity through the Data Physics CRM system to assure a continuing high level of customer satisfaction. You will also provide technical guidance and assistance to external sales channels such as Sales Representatives in the assigned region and collect and deliver feedback to Product Marketing and Engineering on competitive offerings and changing customer demands.
You will perform sales forecasting, sales planning and other related sales administrative tasks, and your goal is to consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual quotas for the region. You will report to the Regional Business Manager.
Requirements:
You are expected to have sufficient technical background to develop an understanding of the full product range and the technology of the products, so you can demonstrate and apply the products to different customer applications. A good understanding of noise and vibration is required.
