Regional Sales Engineer – UK Southern Region

Location: Hailsham, UK

Duties and Responsibilities

As part of our global sales team, this position is responsible for driving new business, initiating and maintaining direct relationships with customers and partners, developing and managing key accounts, co-marketing efforts as well as some pre/post sale support functions.

Education and Qualifications

INSTRUMENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE – WEST

Remote Position – West of the Mississippi

SUMMARY

This Instrument Sales Representative position is responsible for instrument sales in the US West region and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; listening to and understanding customer’s desires and concerns; recommending solutions.
  • Perform detailed technical product demonstrations: Vibration Test Controller, Dynamic Signal Analyzer, Modal Analysis, Acoustics, and Machinery Diagnostics.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage and Coordinate activities with local Technical Representative Organizations, OEMs and Resellers.

TRAVEL

  • This position requires travel up 50% of the time.

BUYER II

Located at Burlington, Washington

 SUMMARY

The buyer is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company’s needs for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and select production materials and services. These products and services are to be secured at cost quality and delivery competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
  • Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, services and/or special tools; arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required; maintains close coordination with plant engineering to ensure timely execution of product and services sourcing activities.
  • Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Interviews and confers with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management; negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from the senior buyer or Supply Chain Manager for assigned responsibilities.
  • Coordinates the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters.
  • Coordinates buying and sourcing with the senior buyer.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

This position does not have/has supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

  • Syteline Experience a plus
  • Microsoft products experience
  • 2 to 5 years buying experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Teachability in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis in business administration, economics or engineering with two years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience may be substituted for education.

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER I

Located in Monterey, California

SUMMARY

Perform factory production functions, including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly of Lansmont products, equipment maintenance and general technical support. Perform drop tester system testing to ensure systems comply with performance requirements. This position reports directly to the Equipment Production Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ASSEMBLY AND TESTING OF ALL MODELS OF LANSMONT DROP TESTERS

  • Recognize product model numbers, features/options and configurations as called for by the customer’s order, production order and managers instructions;
  • Interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, assembly procedures, build books and basic machine power-up test procedures;
  • Recognize components, materials and subassemblies relevant to specific machine assemblies;
  • Recognize component defects and documentation discrepancies and promptly report them to proper department managers and appropriate personnel;
  • Fit and assemble Lansmont Drop Testers using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices and material handling equipment;
  • Following targeted deadlines for assembling and testing processes. Maintaining on-time delivery; and
  • Proficient with CE and safety requirement for Drop Tested product line.

MAINTENANCE

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping in production areas of facility; and
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on shop equipment and tools.

GENERAL

  • Practice self-discipline regarding breaks, work hours and safe work procedures and maintain an awareness of surroundings;
  • Maintain high level of work performance and work quality;
  • Operate forklift to assist in movement of heavy and oversized loads;
  • Participate in Safety Committee activities; and
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.

TRAVEL
