Advantages of the 900 Series

Designed as a solution to challenges of high channel count testing, the 900 Series Platform delivers numerous benefits to users, including:

Data Accuracy The 900 Series Platform provides the most accurate data in the industry, even with multi-chassis configurations.

Channel Flexibility The 900 Series Controller allows users to measure, control, and limit on any channel regardless of chassis.

Processing Speed Multi-chassis configurations don’t affect testing parameters and control capability.

Workflow Efficiency Traditional post-processing analysis can be done in real-time during a vibration control test.

Sample Rate Flexibility The 900 Series Platform allows simultaneous recording and analysis of time history streams at different sample rates.

High Responsiveness The system is specifically designed and programmed for high channel counts without bottlenecks.

Easy Setup and Operation The software manages all IP addresses, making multi-chassis configuration set up a breeze.

Hassle-Free Intelligent Licensing The software manages all licenses and selects the appropriate licenses for the hardware you are connected to.

Test Data Security All processing and control is done on the chassis. In case of disconnection from the host PC, users have the option to continue or end the test.

Live Test Accessibility The system allows remote monitoring and independent access to all test data, even during test runtime.

Random Vibration Control This application refers to a broad range of real-world vibration environments that products and structures actually experience in the field.

Sine Vibration Control Our vibration controllers are used to characterize the dynamics of test articles and test their durability. The sine vibration control module qualifies test articles and quantifies their resonances.

Shock Vibration Control Classical shock tests a product’s ability to withstand high-acceleration events. Unlike a drop shock machine, classical shock testing has better accuracy and more repeatability.

SRS Synthesis Control SRS Control excites the structure with a complex shock event similar to those seen during explosive events or earthquakes. The SRS Synthesis Control module allows you to generate a waveform with a pre-defined SRS, and control that waveform on a shaker.

Mixed Mode Control Mixed-mode testing replicates environments with a combination of vibration modes, such as broadband and narrowband or sinusoidal. Such vibration environments are common; such as in an automobile, where there is random vibration from the road and sinusoidal vibration from the engine.

Sine Resonance Search and Dwell Control Resonance dwell is also referred to as low- or high- cycle fatigue testing. It provides a way of quantifying a product’s fatigue life. Resonance Search and Dwell uses the product’s own resonances to impart repeated cyclic loading, and is often run until the product fails.

Time History Replication The Time History Replication control allows the user to record or import historical data in the field and reproduce it on a shaker table. With the 900 Series, the same hardware can be used for both the time history recording and the shaker control, reducing the overhead of running a test.

Multi-Shaker (MIMO) Vibration Control Whether you are testing large test articles in a single axis or exciting in multiple-axes, our MIMO controller enables multiple shakers to be controlled effectively and safely. Don’t fall for sub-par solutions which require “phase-matched” amplifiers, which rely on dubious phase-matching electronics, or which simply split a single drive signal to multiple actuators. The 900 Series MIMO Controller compensates for all differences in your shakers, amplifiers, and mechanical test setup and enables safe control of any multi-shaker configuration.

Modern Vibration Controller Software Built for Today's PCs

SignalCalc 900 Series makes use of today’s high-resolution monitors for a graphical, streamlined test setup. Simply enter the test profile, and it will automatically choose control and measurement parameters.

All setup information and test images are saved along with measurement data in the test database – and can be recalled via search keywords.

Test Archiving and Data Storage

  • A searchable, sortable test database of all test profiles is managed by the 900 Series software.
  • Multiple controllers can share the same database, aggregating all data into one location.
  • Anyone on the network can install the 900 Series software and access live/past test data and generate reports – no additional licenses required.

Attach Images/Media to Your Test

  • Images of test setups can be archived with test data. Images can be taken within the SignalCalc software.
  • Attached images can be automatically printed in any reports generated from the data.

Create Templates in Microsoft Word and Automatically Export Data

Fully Customizable Plots

Include readouts including test parameters, customer and test article name, operator, test time, etc.

Overlay Data

Data from one or more runs can be overlaid in Review Mode within seconds. The overlaid plots can be placed in a report.

Data Export

Test data can be exported automatically at the end of a test.

Create Custom Report Templates in Microsoft Word

Create a report template in Microsoft Word and have SignalCalc 900 populate the report parameters, plots, and images automatically after each test (DP900-68).

Images and Media

Attach images of the test article or setup and have them printed in the report.

Generate Reports Anywhere

Generate Reports on the PC that conducted the test, or on any networked PC.

Post Processing - without the "Post"

The 900 Series Controller has the unique ability to run signal analysis measurements during a vibration control test. For example, an order tracking measurement that visualizes harmonic distortion on a waterfall plot can be run in parallel with a shaker Sine sweep, or a frequency response function with Zoom analysis can monitor minor shifts in resonant frequency during a random vibration test.

Post-processing is a thing of the past. Analysis that is traditionally performed by recording time histories and processing post-test can now be performed live during the vibration test itself – and all results can be incorporated on the same plots and in the same report as the vibration test results. Learn how to evaluate the quality of a vibration control system.

Channel and Signal Math

The SignalCalc 900 Series includes the ability for users to define custom signals and math channels. These computed signals can be viewed and saved just as any other signal – and Math channels can even be used as control or limit channels in the control loop.

Channel Math – “Virtual” channels computed from other input (or other Math) channels.  Mathematical operations include: Integration, Differentiation, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Matrix multiplication, Low/High/Band Pass Filtering, and more.

Signal Math – Creation of “User Signals” using mathematical operations on processed time and frequency domain signals: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, FFT, IFFT, CFFT, ICFFT.

Vibration Controller Solutions for Test Facilities with Multiple Shakers

Data Physics provides scalable solutions to users who run a lab with multiple shakers. All test benches can be configured to share a single, centralized data server where all test data can be aggregated.

Any workstation connected to the network can install the 900 Series software and remotely access the complete test database, configure, run, transfer control, monitor, review data, or generate reports for any test running on any of their controllers.

The 900 Series platform even allows multiple workstations to connect/disconnect to a test in process.

With the Data Physics 900 Series, users can remotely connect, configure, run, transfer control, and monitor multiple tests.
